Myself Abhijith I am from India. My wife got an opportunity to work in Malaysia as Onsite from her company. She is working at IT company. Her company also provide the spouse visa so that i can also join her. I am an Accountant. But my doubt is that if i came to Malaysia on spouse visa how much difficult is it for me to find a job and convert my spouse visa to work visa in Malaysia.? As the living cost in Malaysia is little high so it is important for me to find a job there.
If anyone knows about this please help.

I converted visitor visa to work permit锛�
It was really easy, just submitted docs to my employer. thats all锛�
In addition , my wife converted visitor visa to spouse visa锛�
that was also easy , just paid and submitted docs to an agent, done.
However , it was not under corona situation.

Current pandemic and resulting unemployment has triggered a focus for preferring locals over foreigners for jobs so it might be a little tricky and speculative to say that expats will be offered a job easily.
