Gap between 2 PR applicaitons

tejaschitaliya

I heard normally people as well as ICA advice to take a gap of 6 months between 2 PR applications.

What is the reason or rationale for the same?

Lets say if some one apply new PR application immediately up on rejection of previous application does it lead to confirmed rejection again?

How does ICA perceive a candidate who keep on applying for the PR without waiting for any stipulated time?

ICA does not publish their exact criteria for PR approval/rejection, and they seem to purposely keep a certain degree of subjectivity or freedom to decide as they feel.

Overwhelming them with too many applications that are obviously without merit might affect this negatively and will surely not change it in a positive way. So why take this risk?

And, in general, a re-application under the same circumstances will receive the same result. Therefore, it makes sense to wait until your circumstances change, before applying again. If it is only time (the longer in Singapore, the better your PR chances), I would wait at least a year. If anything else changes, e.g. new job or a baby (preferably boy), then six months might also be warranted.
