I suppose it's down to how good they are.

I suppose it's down to how good they are. - @Fred

My highly qualified niece (Masters in English Literature) who taught in one of the top schools in Korea for 10 years and now is at one of the best schools in Bangkok, Thailand says "It’s insane. A ticket to highly selective American universities is what that is."

The general consensus I've heard from expats here who've put their foreigner children through these schools is that the education they received is substandard.

So the richest Vietnamese people send their children to these schools, opening up a path for them to eventually study abroad in the UK or Australia or the USA.

Meanwhile, children of foreigners seem to be getting very high quality babysitting services.

So they aren't worth it.

Ho hum, expats with kids might like to consider options.

No Bueno as me and the wife are looking to have a child soon. I gave up on the idea of international schools a while ago.

Tuition fees for top schools can be high worldwide, and they tend to increase annually. As the original poster (OP) mentioned, this applies to high school fees as well. If you want the best education for your child, it comes at a cost. For example, the British International School (BIS) charged around $25,000 for year 2 in the 2024-2025 academic year, and fees increased by 10% this year—following the pattern of yearly hikes.

Compared to other regions like Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan, Vietnam’s fees are slightly higher. However, tuition fees in Vietnam often includes meals, uniforms, and study materials, whereas in other countries, these costs are additional.

Then I saw the word "MANY" in the title
