5-D FACE MASK

Paul123

A popular Vietnamese-made 5-D mask was on sale in our major grocery store so I decided to try it out and it turns to be extremely comfortable. I reviewed the manufacture on Google and found โ€œ Vietnam: seizure of more than 151,000 counterfeit face masks bearing the โ€œ3Mโ€ mark. On 30 July 2020.โ€
Another mask manufacturer was found to be making mask from toilet paper.

Due to these mask illegality I always wore two masks, but now I am unsure if even double up on two masks thatโ€™s made of toilet paper offers any protection whatsoever. In the past I always opted for Vietnamese-made instead of Chinese-made. What a bummer!

It depends which report you want to believe.

Viet Nam has had minimal exposure to the virus. Have you noticed that wearing a mask is common place here. Then look at those stupid people in America making a song and dance about having to wear one and their infection rate is through the roof.

Do you have a link to the Stanford study you mentioned. All I'm seeing and reading from Stanford is counter to your statement.

I hate to be a bigger bummer but many studies, including one just released from Stanford University indicates these masks do no good at all. In fact they suggest a long list of negative health attributes from wearing them. Theyโ€™re virtually worthless from stopping a viral particle from getting inside. Theyโ€™ve become a cottage industry of sorts with no real benefit. I wear one only as required to enter a business. Then off it comes Itโ€™s all puesdo science. Nothing to back it up.

You talking about this.

Yes, talking about this. Not use to this forum - I'd hit reply to this, I thought, but looks like I was replying to you maybe?

Maybe do a search online yourself, there are numerous media outlets reporting it. For you to say its questionable shows that you are just denying what everyone else seems to know.

Here is the same article done by Forbes magazine.

And another, from Politifact. Doing some background checks will always be beneficial.

I'm just getting a bit tired of walking into some store or pagoda or market where I'm stopped and told to put on a mask when people nearby inside AND EVEN people walking past the security checkpoint at the same time as me are not wearing a mask or being told to wear one.

It's not a vote for or against masks or an argument about whether they should be worn.

I know that the national government is still saying that we should wear a mask in such public settings, so I don't argue with the security person when I'm reminded to put one on.ย

I'd guess that almost every foreigner here in the country right now has experienced at least one unmasked Vietnamese citizen hastily putting on a mask when they make eye contact with you.
