Things to do in Da Nang

Boborob

Hello I am Bob aged 60, from the USA and here in Da Nang for dental work for a few months and besides the heat and humidity I like it a lot. The people are friendly and it seems very safe.

I am trying to find things to do but I am not really into bars. I have eaten so much wonderful food and seen the dragon bridge breathe fire and walked along the river almost every night. I am hoping to find people interested in language exchange and maybe leads on teaching English or doing private tutoring so any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks

Hey Bob,

For simple language exchange, start a new thread on here titled "Language Exchange In Da Nang".

You'll likely get many replies from Vietnamese citizens, though you would be well advised to use caution when connecting with people here on an anonymous forum.

You can also take out a free classified ad here:

/en/classifieds/asia/vietnam/

Or you can go walking on the beach early in the morning (after 5 AM) or late in the afternoon and make a point of saying hello to every Vietnamese adult and child walking together.

Parents who speak some English are often known to offer Vietnamese language support in exchange for a foreigner assisting their child with English.

Keep in mind that it is illegal to earn any income from your activities while here on a tourist visa.

You would need to qualify to be approved by the government to be hired by an employer and subsequently approved for a work permit.

Good luck here in ฤร  Nแบตng ๐Ÿคž

Thanks for the info!

Especially about not being permitted to make money on a tourist Visa. I probably read about that but completely space out about it.

You should try the Ba Na Hills cable car into the mountains and also the marble mountains close bye.

Beach is very clear and clean and enjoy spending sometimes there.

Another Hand Bridge opened up and you should look it up.

Seen the fiery Dragon bridge?

A lot to do and you have to make an effort.
