There are probably a hundred pallet recyclers operating on the highway that loops around HCMC.  It's marked A1 on the signs but QL1 on Google.  You definitely should bring a translator.  Not many English speakers in the used pallet business.   I expect that for the right money they will bring pallets to your home.

Near my living area HaNoi Highway or Tay Hoa street, district 9, there are many.

Hello,

can you give me road name for me to drive there on saturday,

Thanks.

Just as I said just type  QL1, HCMC in to Google Maps.  That is the name.  As it is a loop road around the city, I have no idea what entry point is best for you.  You could enter anywhere from Bình Chánh in the southeast to Thủ Đức and District 9 in the northeast,  as mentioned by Kitty Lanh,  where QL1 ends at the Hanoi highway (Xa lộ Hà Nội).   I do know that the stretch that runs through Thu Duc District would be productive as there is a large wholesale vegetable market there and there should be more pallet recyclers there.  The Thu Duc wholesale market is at 10.869643, 106.728298   You can just copy/paste that into the Google Maps search bar.

I really hope you have found a Vietnamese acquaintance to go with you.  This area is pretty rough and tumble.  I don't mean it is dangerous but I would be very surprised if the proprietors spoke any English beyond "Hello."

If anyone wants to see the "real Vietnam" not in the picturesque idealistic sense but definitely real, mostly light industrial, they should take this road.

If you still haven't found the place yet, pls email me. I will text you exact address number. I cross the Pallet selling place every day but dont pay attention on the number. It is on Tay Hoa street, district 9, hcm - 0r if you really cant find, follow me after my working hour from Thao Dien district 2, I can take you there.

Akoaysibrey, the offer from Kitty Lanh seems really good.  If you go with her you have both a location and a translator.  I would send her a PM and exchange phone numbers.  I looked at your expat path and I expect you know that having good local friends can make life in Vietnam a lot better.
