Salsa in Malta

Yogurina

Hello all,

I am a salsa lover and dancer (intermediate level) and would like to know if there are some decent salsa schools in Malta. :D

I know this "Fuego" club in Pville, but to be honest got a little bit disappointed with it- there were only a few ppl dancing salsa and the music was not exactly latino.

Any tips are welcome.

Many thanks in advance.

Apparently Native Bar offers some special salsa nights. May want to try there :)

Hello,

next to Native Bar (Wednesday and Fridays) there is a salsa
crowd on the other side of the street at the Barcelona Cafe.

In my experience, Native attracts many tourists, so there is a
mix of the typical dance crowd and tourists. And the DJ is sometimes more busy checking out the female patrons rather than spinning a coherent set.

At Barcelona, it is mostly dancers. The guy also gives lessons,
but the level is not really high. So if you want to go beyond
intermediate, you have to wait for workshops with teachers
flown in.

I am also looking for a salsa bar, so the best option seems to be the Barcelona right?

There is latin music at bar native. Especially in salsa room. Like a lot that place. I have also heard that they have free salsa lesson during the week, but i havent never participate (YET!) :D
