Life in Norway

shoutit

I would like to know some questions:

what's the average pay for a .net software developer with 7 years of experience,

what's the percentage of taxes paid,

are there any unemployment benefits in case I get unemployed,

how many days of vacations per year,

what are the pension benefits,

if there are any benefits trying to buy an house there or how much does an house cost,

and what are the costs of living there for food, transportation and other things I don't know.

This thread is good, but still some question remaining:

1. Are there any help from the government if we try to buy a house?

2. Imagine I'm working in Zurich on 80000CHF per year gross. What would be the net income I would have?

Mortgage interest payments are tax deductible. I hope this policy will change soon though. You should expect to pay around 36% income tax, but remember indirect taxes in Norway are substantial.

And what would be the average pay for a .Net software developer with 7 years of experience?
