AIMA appointment for self-employed Digital Nomad

asadkn

Anyone recently did an AIMA appointment as a self-employed? Can you please share the docs that were asked?

  1. NIF
  2. Rental Contract / Lease
  3. Bank Statements
  4. Client Contracts?

Note that it's different holding a remote job and requirements of docs are different.

If you're a freelancer /self employed – a contract (*) that proves you work with clients. Bank statements and payslips/invoices to prove your monthly income. Proof of personal tax residence in Portugal through a long-term rental agreement registered with the tax authority

(*) proof of company contract or service contract or written proposal of service contract or document demonstrating the services provided to one or more entities.

NIF is mandatory.

For digital nomads, they used to accept AirBnB instead of a rental agreement. Now I'm not sure about that...

@JohnnyPT Thanks for the info. But actually I have already received the Visa. I am looking for info about the AIMA appointment as they also have a document requirement.

So I was looking for recent experiences of what documents they were asked for at the AIMA appointment, if they're self-employed.
