The most common scam is regarding housing. I myself along with 50 people from South Asian countries were scammed by a person.

He posed as a owner of service apartment, and took advance for same room multiple times. took almost 500k SAR and ran awar. we tried reaching to authorities, but no help at all.

A taxi driver tried to give me a tour of the city and run up the bill. Fortunately, I had a local friend I could call. He spoke to the driver in Arabic and probably said some unkind words. The driver then took me to my destination and I paid him the normal amount.
