A USA recruiter advised me that if I or any member of my immediate family (wife) that would be seeking employment in the UAE had ever visited Israel, that they would would be denied a work visa. Can anyone confirm this?

I used to work with Israelis in Miami and they told me that it is true but when you arrive to Israel they do not stamp a seal on your passport. Have they put the seal at yours? All this is completely ridiculous. There is a big hypocrisy in the UAE because the local authorities do not accept the Estate of Israel, but in Abu Dhabi they are building the Guggenheim Museum (jewish family and founder), the architect is Frank Ghery (a jewish canadian) and in April, 2005, Sam Zell travelled to Abu Dhabi to meet Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan. Zell is best known as a realestate magnate and he is the Sheik real estate advisor. He visited Israel but he is allowed to enter to the UAE!!  The Sheiks can do whatever they want and they change their laws at their convenience. " On a visit to Israel, Zell spoke to the Israel Center for Social and Independent Process, a pro-market think tank. "etc, etc

I hope that you can solve your problem and I wish you the best.

It is common in most Muslim countries to deny entry if u have an Israeli stamp in ur passport. I would lay slot of confidence that if u have one u will be denied. Sorry

Israeli / UAE relations deteriorated sharply at the beginning of the year following the Mossad killing of a Hammas leader in Dubai using forged Western passports.

So if your passport has Israeli stamps, I think your highly likely to have problems.
