Hello, will a conviction of 7 and a half years ago prevent from working in Guinea as an expat? The fine was R1000 or 5 months jail time which was suspended only if convicted again for the same charge. No conviction since then again. Thanks

That all depends on the person reviewing your application and what it was for.


If it is not on your police clearance just don't declare it as there is little chance of it being checked.

@herbiehib1 it is on the police clearance but i got a firearm license last year in December so maybe i can use that as motivation

@herbiehib1 it was for assualt, a self defence case that i lost and didnt had further funds for the attorney to appeal.
