I should probably engage a financial advisor here in Z.A. but I figured I'm not the only one with this question and many people in this forum will have travelled this road.

I have a couple of fixed deposits in ZA that earn 9% - I doubt I will get that sort of return anywhere else and I am depending on their yields to qualify me in obtaining a retirement visa. However, I'm searching for the most economical way of transferring the income to Mauritius for living. I don't suppose a monthly transfer is essential a I could transfer larger accumulations of interest from my bank (Capitec) at different time scales but the need to reduce transfer costs still arises. Can anyone advise who has travelled this route?
