Divorce/Annulment

Hello all,

I just got married to a Vietnamese woman roughly 2 months ago. I wish I could say this blindsided me, but the truth is I almost didn't go through with it and I see now this definitely will not work and the sooner I get out the better. Does anyone know if you can annul such a short marriage like this? Is that very difficult? She basically avoided all the steps we were supposed to go through like interviews and such by paying bribes I don't know if that could be grounds.

If it can't be annulled is there any advantage to filing soon or is the process the same whether one is married 2 months or 20 years?

I recommend you get a good VN divorce attorney and do a lot of research yourself, but have the attorney do the actual divorce.

Certain things around here are a bit disgusting. It is possible that the bribes you paid were agreed with what was your future goal. Here it is hard for foreigners to get married and even harder to divorce. If you were Vietnamese: a trifle, but you are rich by postulate and therefore you are to be plucked.
