VISA for mother-in-law

Hi I am an Indian moving to Sohar, Oman and joining a govt downstream company.
Can I get visa for my mother-in-law. What is the procedure?
If my wife is joining later (after 6 months or so), can I get visa for my mother-inlaw.
Please reply urgently.

Hi anilkm132103,

Once you join work, you can ask your employer to apply for your mother-in-law's visit visa.

This has to be done only by your employer as individuals are not allowed to apply for any visas for anybody.

Just wanted to know, do companies (govt downstream) generally process visa for mother-in-law as well. Any specific documents required for mother-in-law?
Will I be able to apply for wife and mother-in-law at the same time?

Hi anilkm132103,

For your m-i-l, family visit visa will be issued.

For your wife, it would be the family joining visa.

The former is valid for 3-months, while the latter is valid for 2 years.
